Royal Canadian Regiment Museum

The Royal Canadian Regiment Museum tells the story of the senior infantry regiment in Canada, and acts as a tribute to all acting military of the country. Besides being a military museum in an old barracks, it’s also the historic home of The Royal Canadian Regiment. Its interactive displays and engaging activities seek to educate the public about military life and legacy.

Beginning at an old archway, a walk through its halls is a lesson in Canadian military history dating back to the 19th century.  There are artifacts from every major war that Canada has fought in. It’s structured to flow chronologically, from the Northwest Rebellion all the way to the recent Afghanistan conflict.

Weapons, uniforms, medals, and other equipment bring the history to life. Tours offer additional insight into the history and military traditions. The museum is expertly done and considered by many to be one of Ontario’s best kept secrets. It’s one of the oldest museums in Canada.
