Les châteaux de Rothenburg et Neuschwanstein étaient tous les deux d'une beauté absolue. Un magnifique voyage.

I was in Frankfurt for business and decided to take this tour at the end of my stay. It is so worth the cost and is an amazing day! Our tour guide, Thomas, was extremely knowledgable and eager to share Germany with us. We had a group of 5 in a mini-bus. Rothenburg is so worth seeing and exploring - I wish we had more time there but we had to move on to make our tour at the castle. Approaching the castle was fantastic with a view of the Alps. Unfortunately, we experienced some heavy rain the moment we arrived. But there wasn't much to do but continue forth with our plans. So though we were cold and wet and had limited ability to take photos outdoors, this was a fantastic visit.

If you do this tour - bring snacks and water Thomas did have a sandwich for us but you need to be ready if that is not a common practice and wear sturdy shoes ! and if there is any chance of rain, bring proper attire and/or an umbrella. There is a lot of walking no matter how you cut it - the bus can only take you so far on the castle grounds. It's a long day so be prepared.

My sister, niece and I were just in Frankfurt a couple of weeks ago and the Neuschwanstein Castle was the top of our must see list! It is a bit of a drive but the time went by so fast thanks to our wonderful tour guide Jack! We stopped on the way to the beautiful Rothenburg at the Christmas Market for some shopping and pictures of the amazing architecture. On to Neuschwantein Castle which is like seeing a picture out of a fairy tale book. It is quite amazing and the village and location of the castle are equally beautiful. Since we were there in the winter there was some snow and a hike from the bottom of the drive to the top. They do have some horse drawn carriage rides to take you to the top but we walked. The actual tour of the castle isn't as long as we expected but it was well worth seeing. The whole tour would not have been near as enjoyable had we not had a wonderful guide. Jack is so knowledgeable and entertaining the trip went went by in a flash! If you are going to take this tour I highly recommend that you ask for Jack to be your guide.

This trip is not worth the cost.

This was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend it! Peter our tour guide was so professional and knowledgable about all the places we visited and he knew everything about everything and he was so informative. The German countryside is beautiful and our journey along the autobahn although very busy at the time was still well worth the ride! Our first stop in Rothenberg was lovely and it really is a beautiful town. We spent about an hour there which was fine by me as it still allowed us enough time to walk around and explore the town. The architecture and the well kept buildings are a must see! The castle was well maintained and the architecture and style of the building and everything with in is really quite amazing! I wanted to see a castle and Im glad I saw this castle! The tour was well worth it, it was a long day but all very manageable! The tour was well organised and again I cannot reiterate the professionalism and knowledge of our tour guide Peter! If he is guiding your tour you will be treated well! I would happily do another tour with him!

It was a fantastic trip, in a private car. Our driver, Peter, was outstanding. He was informative, well versed on the area, and attentive to all comforts of a long tour.

Beautiful castle but long road trip and the traffic due to road construction was horrible. Not friendly for people with mobility issues as there is a lot of walking on hilly terrain to the get to the castle and then during the castle tour had to walk on path to the castle through the forests and then climb turret stairs for the tour. The castle was packed and reminded me of Disney World in the US.

The Rothenburg trip was rushed and all the shops were closed by the time we arrived there. Dinner was at our own expense but good.

Tour driver was knowledgeable and considerate but driving so fast made us all nervous flying down the autobahn in a tour van is not the safest.

The tour was convenient as I was in Frankfurt, but if I had to do it over I would take the Deutsche Bahn to Munich for the weekend and go on the tour from there.

Expensive tour, but totally worth it. You get to see so much within one day, all the while in the comfort of a nice Mercedes with a tour guide who knows his stuff. I am a solo female traveler, and I felt completely safe. Don't let the outdated office turn you off! Very professional and wonderful people. Thanks guys!

The description says that you travel on the Romantic Road, but the trip was entirely on the autobahn.
It also said there would be a walking tour in Rothenburg, but we just had 30 minutes to walk around on our own. It is a beautiful little town and it would be nice to spend some time there.
The castle is definitely amazing, and I got a glimpse of the Alps, but I think I might have been happier traveling through the small villages. The tour of the castle is done by audioguide, not with your tour guide.

Long day but well worth it just to be with Peter and Thomas and have friends take care of us all day. They told us everything about the sights we saw, made sure we were comfortable all the time, told us what to see, where to go, and even helped us pay for restrooms since we Americans were not at all accustomed to Local ways. Very good tour.
