This tour was great! Barry, our driver and guide was wonderful. He was very attentive to everyones needs. The day starts before 6 am so his dry humor and commentary really helped move things along. The views from the canyon was spectacular as was the weather. Be prepared for a lot of road time but it is totally worth it!
First of all, this tour was wonderful, especially with our Tour Guide Barry from Adventure Photo Tours.
We were in a small group of 8 people and the people were all nice.
Barry is a funny, experienced and knowledgeable Tour Guide.
Often he told us nice and funny stories
The Tour was well planned and the timeline was well set.
This tour was worth to join.
Really much much better, than in a big tour bus with many people.
Thanks so much Barry, keep going on like this. We had a lot of fun :

The small group tour was fantastic. Tour guide Barry gave us plenty of time for photographs along the route and he was very interesting and informative. The breakfast and lunch we were supplied was excellent.
We could not fault this tour experience
How do you store wealth of information about Grand Canyon in one head? That's what both me and the other 2 tourists said about Bob - our tour guide. He really likes what he is doing. I really like the fact that he explains the tour itinerary of what is included and not. I knew what to expect before I even reach the destination. Excellent driving skill - some people may think it's a bit too fast but I drove 120KM/hr in a tiny Suzuki Celerio and in the middle of sandstorm before, so his speed was just fine and within the law limits. The SUV has multi-area weather system - so I can keep the heat for me and chilly temperature for the canadian tourists at the back. Good shock absorbers and suspension - for the pot holes along on the highway. More than enough restroom stops and he was pretty flexible and never tried to rush you. His SUV comes equipped with food, snacks and cold water. He even provide blankets and pillows in case you want extra comfort. The road is a straight and fairly empty highway so the chance of you getting motion sickness is nil - unless you're that sensitive and even then, Bob has a remedy for that. Just ask him. Nice guy too, polite and always ready to help.
Grand Canyon were snowy, makes it more beautiful with the bright red and white topping, we stopped for a bit at Route 66, fairly good time at the Hoover. Arizona is beautiful in winter.
Really enjoyed the day to the Grand Canyon. I got changed on to this tour by Adventure Photo Tours the day before, due to the weather meaning the tour I was booked on had to be cancelled. This tour is purely by road and walking when at the Grand Canyon National Park. It is a long day 15 hours or so but you are seeing one of the wonders of the world! Our Tour Guide was Barry and he was a great Guide for the day. Barry has a great sense of humour! We were a full Small Group of 12 like minded explorers but did not feel too cramped on the Mini Bus. You set off from Vegas approx. 6:30am and the first stop is Boulder City for a bit of breakfast and then on to the Hoover Dam where you can take some great photos. You then go on to the Route 66 Museum in Kingman, Arizona. This is a great little addition to the trip. It is then a good 3hr drive from Kingman to the Grand Canyon National Park and my only slight criticism of the tour was that another restroom stop would have been great. The Grand Canyon offers three options upon arrival dependent on the person - 1 Long Walk 3 miles 2 Short Walk 2 miles and 3 Drop Off at the Grand Canyon Village. You then have 3/4 hours to explore the South Rim of the canyon. I went in February and it was bitterly cold but showed a different side to the Canyon and gave it an air of mystery with the mist and low cloud! The Grand Canyon Village offers a few bars, gift shops and a few hotels. The journey back was a long 4-4.5 hours and we did not stop and this was testing. If you are not great with the road and especially hurtling through the countryside in the pitch black, maybe consider another tour! We arrived back in Las Vegas around 8:30pm. Great day out!
The tour was great. It was a very long day and the drive to and from was quite long. We did stop along the way - once at Hoover dam and once more for a quick break. We spent approx 3 hours at the park and there is a nice scenic path to follow with lots of great views over the canyon. There was some confusion about the time to return due to the start of daylight saving on this day so we had to rush a bit but then it turned out we had an extra a hour after all. That was a little annoying but oh well. Lunch was prepared for us and was simple but acceptable. Lovely views and a good trip. Comfortable bus with some videos played about the canyon and Hoover Dam. Hoover dam stop was only about 10 or 15 mins but all I wanted were some quick snaps anyway. Barry our driver was nice enough but at first seemed a bit strict. Everything was OK though.
Tour was great! Barry, our guide and driver started with house rules which all made sense in order to have a very smooth day,,...feeding us information as we go on but not to the point of TMI :-.....when we got into the bus, brown bags containing our breakfast/snacks were in the seats, all ready for us, with our apple juice placed on the holders, lunch was packed too and handed out to us as we explore the Grand Canyon which was really Grand! ....over all- was a long day but i can say that it was confortable and fun! No regrets for booking this tour!
