A l'heure.
This is a great way to see this beautiful island. Very well organized and lots of fun, Bus ride to highest peak is full of winding turns and breathtaking views. Boat ride from port Soller was wonderful. Then tram to train to finish the trip. Highly recommend if you only have one day to spend in Mallorca!
The trip was a really fantastic way to see the mountains of Mallorca! We were given a bit of time to explore in La Calobra and Port de Soller, which are beautiful parts of the island. During the stop in La Calobra, make sure to take a walk to Torrent de Pareis. You can take beautiful pictures there. The only thing I would change is to have a bit of time to explore the town of Soller in between the tram from the Port and the train back to Palma. I also wish there was one or two other stops during the drive down the mountain for photo opportunities. I would definitely recommend that you bring a lunch if you are going on this trip because the food in La Calobra where we were given time for lunch was very expensive! Overall, our tour guide was great and knew a lot about the island. We had a really great time.
Itinerary had to be amended due to bad weather and the pass being closed due to snow! However, Pepe, the guide rearranged and we went to Valdemossa which is lovely.Still managed a boat trip which was choppy
The tram and train rides had fabulous views
I'm shocked this tour got such good reviews. This was the worst tour of our lives! If you want to be in transit all day then you can take this tour. You spend 80 of this trip either on a bus, train, boat, and more train!
We had a bad feeling when the first stop was a leather store in Inca 30 mins into the trip. It's just a concrete building out of nowhere selling cheap leather goods which is a total tourist trap to get you to buy stuff. We got coffee and waited around for 20 mins while forced to browse through cheap junk. What a waste of time! No one bought anything and half the tour sat on the bus waiting to just get out of there. There's a bathroom there but why would we need a bathroom break 30 mins into the tour anyway?
The tour guide, Jo, was a nice person but just not a good tour guide. He was the only tour guide but there were tourists on the bus that spoke many different languages. Our tour guide spoke 4 languages which was impressive, but that meant you don't know which language he's speaking most of the time because of accent and when he's not speaking your language, you are still stuck listening to him repeating the same thing in 3 other languages so you're stuck listening to him talking constantly. He unfortunately didn't say anything that interesting other than on your right, there is this town called A, oh and now look on your right, there is town B with a church there, now we are going up the mountain...
The ride along Tramuntana was amazing but we NEVER stopped at any vista points so all we could do was look out the bus window and take pictures from the bus. We did stop once next to a random dam towards the top with zero view of Tramuntana. What was the point of that? It's like you go all the way to Paris but only see Eiffel tower from inside the bus then the bus stops at a random spot with no glimpse of Eiffel tower itself.
Whenever we arrive at a destination, he says ok, meet me over there in 20 mins without even telling you which town we're at, no explanation about the place, etc. So basically you take the bus, stop at a cheap leather goods store, try to enjoy the views of Tramuntana while your tour guide talks nonstop, get an hour of free time in La Calobra the only good part of the trip, take a boat ride to Port Soller with other people that's not part of the tour, have 20 mins of free time in Port Soller, hop on a train to Soller without tour guide telling you anything, get 20 mins to walk around Soller, hop on yet another train for an hour when half the people are falling asleep at this point, then another hour bus ride to Mallorca.
If you just want transportation to superficially see lots of these popular Mallorcan places for 20 mins each and you love to just sit on the train/bus all day, then go ahead and book this tour. We thought this was absolutely terrible.
