A very long day from Orlando. Do not take children on this trip! The Everglades were fantastic and the air boat ride was very memorable. The boat trip of homes of the rich and famous was hopeless. Should be named the homes of the has beens and who cares. Guide on the boat was overpowering and the sound system was so bad you missed almost everything that was said. The whole trip narration was about touting for tips.
We were the last pickup at 650am from the big orange giftshop. The bus was on time and comfortable. First stopped in Miami to drop people off, then went to everglades which was awesome, then back to Miami where there was free time, the cruise, and south beach. Bring your swimsuit and towel!
This was a great trip. It was a long day so be prepared. The Drivers were friendly and helpful with information and keeping us on track. We were on a Disney Resort that was not a part of the pick up so we made arrangements to be picked up and they told us 20 additional which was fine. The Driver came and said 25, so my husband gave him 30 and the Driver said he had no change and would give us the 5 back later. Of course, that never happened but other than that and the Driver picking up a strange at a rest area that was without a ride for a few extra bucks the trip itself was great. Beware The Driver are hustlers. The 1st stop to Everglades was fun and exciting. The boat ride at Miami Pier was longer than we excepted about 2 hrs. so not much time to spend on the Pier. The South Beach part was short cause of some delays but still fun. This is worth the money.
We booked this trip as my daughter wished to visit Miami and I wanted to do Everglades. We had heavy rain all the way there which thankfully cleared by the time we were leaving the bus.Everglades section was amazing.Very informative and we got up close to alligators however I have a suspicion that the guide deliberately soaked us !!!The reason why I gave 4 stars however was the fact that we only had 40 minutes to get something to eat before going on the celebrity cruise trip which left no time to look round a bit of Miami. We were given an hour to go to South beach which I would have swapped for time at the marketplace. Our guide Mike was funny and informative. He also helped myself and daughter out at end of night making sure we got home safely..This trip is worth taking.
Great Day trip to southern Florida. Set back and enjoyed the ride. Tour guide and bus driver very friendly and informative about the area and tour. You spend just enough time at each site to be able to experience the location without becoming to overwhelmed or bored. Would recommend this Tour to anyone who is not familiar with the area and you want something fun to do.
Our Grayline tour guide and driver were very good. The guide shared a lot of information about the Orlando and Miami areas, and was very available to make sure that we knew where to be and when. The Everglades Air Boat ride was different than what we had experienced in the past. Previous air boat rides in the Panama City Beach area were short on wildlife and were mostly fast rides on open water. This tour had an abundance of gators, birds, and snakes with photo opportunities. Our boat captain had been driving the glades for 20 years and was entertaining and informative. The Miami experience included the bay front market, boat tour of the harbor, and the south beach area. The market was a good stop with time to grab a very late lunch at a variety of fast food eateries. The harbor tour on the Island Queen was well done and lead by a warm and friendly guide who spoke in English and Spanish. There were many beautiful homes to see, but really the quality of the experience was just taking in the cityscape from the water. The South Beach trip was short and uninteresting unless you wanted to spend the time drinking cocktails. I do not recommend this long bus trip 6:45 AM-11 PM for people with small children. They will inevitably get very bored, and you won't know exactly when you will get to eat lunch or dinner. My only serious complaint about this particular day was that the tour operator, Grayline, had also booked a family for our bus that were only getting TRANSPORTATION to Miami. Because of that, we had to first drive to Miami, drop the family off, and then drive northward again to the Everglades. This extra side trip consumed what seemed like 11/2 hours of our day. The provided sack breakfast had good options like juice, fruit and danishes.
