This whole day in Valparaiso was a moment of relaxation and change of scenery with an experienced guide allowing us to walk safely in the beautiful neighborhoods of the city.
Atypical streets with street art on all walls, doors, steps!
A lunch a bit expensive but in a restaurant at the top of the city with a breathtaking view.
Taking the fenicular and the wine tasting floor on the return were pleasant.
the guide had a microphone to be heard and the driver was perfect.
One note, we do not put 12 people in a minibus whose only exit door does not work from the inside. It's dangerous.
In short, a superb excursion
Francesca was a very informative guide. The tour didn't include the wine visit on my date as there was a fiesta that closed the road I was told in advance with option to change date.. Lovely lunch in restaurent with great views. Enjoyed the city walk. Short stay in Vina del Mar, but apart from sea lion not much in the town. Would recommend if you have a full day in Santiago.
Excellent experience. Our guide Francheska was outstanding. She provided excellent background info on Chile and the regions we traveled through. She was extremely knowledgeable. Due to a religious holiday we were not able to do the vineyard tour and instead had to take a route at least 50 Km longer to get to our destination. Not much time spent in Vina del Mar, so you do not get a very good feel for the place, it seemed like an interesting place. I would have liked to have actually gotten out and seen the flower clock but we did get pictures. Valparaiso was nice and the walking tour seemed appropriate to get a real appreciation for the town. Overall, highly recommended tour that was an enjoyable day in Chile. Stamps tours ran a top notch operation. Pick-ups were on time and driver Jaime was great.
This tour was great. Communication was good prior to the tour and they picked me up from my AirBnB. The guide Francisco was fantastic, really friendly, knowledgeable and humorous. I would highly recommend this trip.
The tour did a good job of taking you to the mostly free hot spots to see in Vina Del Mar and Valparaíso. It did inspire me to come back to spend more time in this beautiful area. The only downside was the lunch spot did not have enough servers to accommodate our large group and everyone else. One lady waited over an hour for her food while the rest of the group was served. Because of this we spent a lot of time at lunch and then had to rush through the winery at the end. This seemed to be the restaurants issue though, since we did have lunch reservations the tour agency made. If you are more interested in the wine though I’d go on a wine specific tour. I think we spent 2 hrs at lunch and 20 mins at the vineyard where we wish we could have spent more time at the vineyard. Our guide Frank spoke very good English, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The driver Frank was great and handled the van well. I would definitely use Stamps Tour again.
the tour was well organized with a very good guide who speaks English very well as well as who is very knowledgeable with what's going on (was not faking it by just verbalizing what's on a guidebook). guide had great information about chile in general and is not afraid to share his thoughts (instead of playing safe). the vina del mar was okay with the garden clock and the beach. the walking tour around Valparaiso was the highlight. overall it was a great day trip.
Very punctual on the pick-up time. Hector was our guide and Rodrigo was the driver. There were only 5 of us on this tour so it felt very personalized and intimate - that was great. Hector speaks very good English and has been doing this for a while. He is calm, casual, seasoned and knowledgeable. Rodrigo is a great driver and the two of them were always on the same page. The tour is as per the description - appropriate no. of stops, enough photo opportunities and a good pace overall. Valparaiso is a beautiful colorful city to walk thru - so much character and the street art is amazing. Learned a lot about the history of Chile, Santiago and Valparaiso. It is a full day tour but not tiring. The only thing we didn't love was the choice of restaurant for lunch - very touristy and food was okay for the price. I get they pick it to accommodate larger groups and waiters speak English but this tour could be perfect with a better choice of restaurant. Winery stop on the way back is good - get a small peek into Casablanca valley and the wine tasting is good. Overall good tour.
A visitação foi muito bacana! Nosso guia foi o Frank!! Ele é ótimo! Super atencioso! Top demais!!
Frank and Hector were great. Frank speaks flawless English so the tour was very easy to understand. The two worked well together. We saw some excellent things. The street art was fabulous! Lunch was at a wonderful seafood restaurant with a great view. We ended with a wine tasting. What’s not to like? Highly recommend this tour.
