Our guide Michael was the best, would definitely repeat the experience!!! He was very friendly and answered all of our questions and more. He never rushed us like other guides tend to do, he was very relaxed.
Our guide Itina was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and had a wonderful command of the English language. We were a tour of 6 with a small mini van and was able to get in and out of places very quickly. Lived it
We booked a two day small group tour with an English speaking guide in a air-conditioned mini-bus. Unfortunately on the first day the air-conditioner didn't work and it was a very warm day with a lot of driving in a city with a significant air quality problem. Everyone in the van was uncomfortable because there were only a couple windows in the front that could be opened. I couldn't believe they could not meet our group at the first stop with a replacement van. The tour guide was very difficult to understand and during the drive she would point out sites that were difficult if not impossible to see from inside the van due to the window design of the van or traffic. Her English was fair but she just couldn't project her voice. When we arrived at the Palace the lines were extremely long and we were moved through the tour like cattle in a feed lot. The best part of the day was lunch. The food and service were simple but excellent. When we toured the Gardens several of the ladies asked to use a restroom but the guide initially ignored the request until it was almost too late. On day two, my wife and I decided to skip the tour and relax on the ship after the experience from day 1. That evening we spoke with a few of the other passengers we had been with the first day and had gone on the tour that second day: they were very disappointed because even though the tour company had replaced the van with one with an operating air-conditioner, the driver had such bad body odor that they moved to the back of the van and used a handkerchief with perfume over there nose and mouth to combat the smell. I was relieved to have spent the day on board the ship.
The best part of this tour is the small size of the group. We were just 14 people, fit in a mini bus. Our tour guide, Elena, was superb. She is very attentive to everybody's needs, very knowledgeable and eager to answer everybody's questions. She spoke very clear English with a British accent. She said she studied in London. She tried to complete everything in the itinerary, and more, inspite of the rainy weather which tend to slow down things a bit.
Marina was our tour guide. Spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable. There was only 14 of us on a small van. She got our tickets and went into the tour sites without waiting in line.
One the very best tour experiences ever.
ULKO tours are awesome.
This tour was pretty awful. Our guide, zsenia, had almost no knowledge of art or history and read from her phone in a laconic voice. I became a joke between tour members of how awful she was. When asked a legitimate question she was curt and nasty. Our group learned not to ask her questions. The food was atrocious, and you can't move an inch without her say so. She was so rude I actually contacted Viator. The response was that that they never had a problem with her. Oh well. I will absolutely not use Viator in the future.
