Great tour and very eventful within the 4 hour duration. The Sami people are so welcoming and given a well in depth story about their lives as a herder. The tour is exactly how it described, quite a lot go on but you still get plenty of time to take photos aroud the place.

So far one of the best tours I have done! The guys are really enthusiastic about their work and take much time to share details and answer questions. We would always go for it again!

We really enjoyed our visit here. The reindeer were very friendly and so cute! Great picture opportunities. Our kids liked trying the lasso, tasting reindeer stew and hearing about the Sami culture as well. The sledding is short but a fun experience nonetheless. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Our kids said it was one of they favorite activities we've done while traveling in Europe. Dress warm!

Everything worked well. We were on a P and O cruise and the cruise shuttle into town dropped us at the Radisson Blu, the same place as the pick-up for the reindeer experience. The bus took us to the venue, we fed the reindeer, had a delicious reindeer stew for lunch and a talk by the Sami owner. The sled ride could have been longer and more interesting - there were 4-5 sleighs all tied together in convoy and we just went round a field. Otherwise it was most enjoyable and good value compared to what the cruise line was offering.

The tour was amazing! They pick you up from Radisson Blue hotel and in about 30 minutes you are out of Tromso in a Sami camp. After a short introduction by a bonfire you will go to feed the reindeers. I never thought it was so much fun! After feeding the animals you can go sledding with them or take a hot drink with cookies while you wait. Then they serve an amazing reindeer stew and a Sami will tell you about his heritage. The whole experience was just great, highly recommended for people of all ages!

This is a great authentic tour. It is hard with so many tours to know which one to book. Luckily we didn't hear that the tour was going to start an hour later so we had the cahnce to meet Peter and learn all about how he set up this business just last year wth a Sami friend.
Not only is it authentic but all the team seem to really enoy having us to visit. Feeding the reindeer was wonderful as was the reindeer ride. Peter explained that they use real wild reindeer not trained reindeer. So if you want an authentic tour this is the one to take.
Only slight downer was watching the driver reading his iphone with no hand at all on the steering wheel for about five minutest l!!! Not one of the tours employees!!!

We had a great day! Organisation was good, the Sami people were very hospitable. Really friendly, helpful, nice!
First got a short introduction of they day, then off to feed the deer. You have plenty of time, they're really gentle animals and you can feed them out of your hand, even though some are quite shy.
After the feeding, we got a warm meal, which was reindeer soup/stew. Really tasty!
Then we could try some lasso throwing, which was fun to do.
Afterwards we got more information about the Sami culture en history in the Lavvu around the fire, this was a nice experience. We also heard some of their joik which are songs they sing.
The people who had booked the tour with the short reindeer sledding then went on the bus they had a VERY short reindeer ride while we were still feeding the deer, after they left we had time for our sledding tour.
We were a bit dissapointed by this, as the activity info on the website of Arctic Reindeer Tromso states that there is a ride of about 25 minutes 2-2.5km .
It took indeed 30-40 minutes in total, but this was for the whole group to take their turn on the ride.
Each ride could fit around 6 people and it took about 10 minutes to go around the terrain, so we didn't have the Ride on a reindeer-driven sleigh through the picturesque landscapes of Tromsa-experience as it states, even though we can understand they had not had much snow yet before and because of this no possibility to train the animals.

In the end we had a great day, we had a lot of fun and the overall experience made it worthwhile, but just be aware that the reindeer sledding is not the trip of 2 to 2.5 km, but just a nice tour around their land.

Also, make sure to dress properly, as we didn't get warm overalls.

Good guide and great to have information about the local Sami culture explained in such an enthusiastic way over lunch

The reindeer were such interesting and gentle animals. The Sami culture was explained in detail, along with historical perspective. A delicious lunch of reindeer soup was provided, and followed by a short reindeer pulled sleigh ride.
