This was an awesome experience to share with my loved ones. Venice's canals are saturated with gondolas which is still very beautiful and it was so lovely to venture away from the gondola/boat crowds and see different parts of Venice from a kayak. There's nothing like rowing through the Venetian neighbourhood at your own pace. Our tour guide and I feel awful as I cannot remember his name but he wore a green t-shirt and supported Juve! was extremely knowledgeable about the area, funny, and extremely patient with some of the slower ones. This is something I would highly recommend you do during your Venetian visit. It's one of those 'once in a lifetime' experiences that you should not pass.
This was a very unique way to learn about Venice...and when it is very warm the only way to go! We booked on a small group tour but only had the 2 of us arrive - it is very hard to find the meeting place so either find it earlier in the day or call them and ask them to find you...you do not want to miss out on this tranquil and sometimes thrill-seeking tour. We felt safe all the time, but crossing the Grand Canal the first time is a bit like learning to drive a car. Francesco was our guide and had a great way of getting the history of Venice to us without it being a boring lesson :
This was the best way to see Venice. It was beautiful and a lot of fun. Our tour guide, Ricardo, was AMAZING. He would stop and tell us different things about the city and where to go for various things. We were only in Venice for two days and his was a perfect way of touring the city when we didn't have a lot of time. Real Venetian Kayaking is the way to go next time you are in Venice.
The tour was fantastic, so much fun and a great way to experience the canals. Our guide Matt was very knowledgable answering all of our questions about Venice including its history. I would really recommend this as an activity during your time in Venice!
So much fun! This was one of my favorite things we did on our recent Italy vacation. We traveled through some small canals, a few bigger ones and made it all the way out to the lagoon! Our tour guide, Carlotta, was really great, she was very knowledgeable and told some great anecdotes. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!
Loved the perspective and experience. Great guide and was super fun. The last part of the tour, we kayaked in the move wavy open water, this was much more difficult but worth it for the rest of the tour.
